Ukraine’s 422nd Unmanned Systems Regiment of the 17th Army Corps and the SBU’s Alpha Special Operations Center destroyed a Russian electronic warfare station on the southern front, regiment commander Mykola Kolesnyk reported on June 15.
The system was designed to jam Starlink satellite communications.

Footage published by Kolesnyk shows six deployed vehicles belonging to the complex. A reconnaissance drone appears to guide the strike before an attack drone hits the Russian electronic warfare system.
As a result of the strike, at least several vehicles were destroyed, while the others were likely heavily damaged.

The loss of such a system is significant because Starlink has been one of the key communication tools used on the battlefield, including for coordination, drone operations, and command links. Russian forces have repeatedly tried to disrupt satellite communications with specialized electronic warfare systems, making these complexes high-value targets for Ukrainian drone units.
Earlier, reports emerged that Russia’s attempt to build a satellite internet network rivaling Starlink encountered early setbacks after one of its first 16 operational satellites reentered Earth’s atmosphere, while 10 others—nearly two-thirds of the initial constellation—have yet to reach their planned orbit and face an uncertain future.
