Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck 14 more Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov overnight into July 12, bringing the total number of vessels hit during a week-long drone campaign to 90.

According to Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, the latest operation targeted 10 tankers and four ferries. He said Ukrainian drone operators struck a total of 90 Russian vessels of various types between July 6 and July 12, averaging one tanker, tugboat, ferry, or cargo vessel every 112 minutes.

“Fourteen overnight, 90 vessels in one week. Every 112 minutes throughout the week of July 6–12, the Birds of the Unmanned Systems Forces fed 'milk' [struck] to one tanker, tugboat, ferry, or cargo ship in the Sea of Azov.”

Brovdi also said evidence from another overnight operation in occupied Crimea would be released later. “Crimea’s power switch was also turned off during the night of July 12. I will share the evidence later. Keep working, gentlemen.”

The latest announcement follows a series of similar updates from Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces. On July 11, Brovdi said Ukrainian forces had struck 21 Russian tankers, along with tugboats, cargo vessels, and other watercraft operating in the Sea of Azov. A day earlier, the Unmanned Systems Forces reported strikes on 13 tankers linked to Russia’s so-called shadow fleet.

Approximately 120 Russian vessels are believed to be operating in the Sea of Azov, most of them cargo ships. Ukrainian officials say the ongoing maritime drone campaign is intended to disrupt Russian logistics and fuel transportation supporting operations in occupied Ukrainian territories.

Earlier, Russia temporarily suspended civilian shipping through the Kerch Strait and the Don–Azov Shipping Canal after a series of Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov, disrupting a key maritime export route.
