Ukraine Hits Russian Pantsir-S1 Air Defense System, Drone Launch Site and Ammunition Depots

Ukrainian forces struck a Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system, a drone launch site, and several military logistics facilities across Russian-controlled territories and Russia on October 8 and overnight on October 9.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the strikes targeted multiple military facilities supporting Russian operations against Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, Ukrainian forces hit a Pantsir-S1 self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and gun system near Kudepsta in Russia’s Krasnodar region.
In the Donetsk area, Ukrainian troops also targeted a facility used to store, prepare, and launch Russian attack drones, as well as a command and observation post belonging to a Russian military unit.
The operations extended to Russian military logistics infrastructure in the occupied territories of eastern Ukraine.

Ukrainian forces struck ammunition and military supply depots near Rubizhne, Sentianivka, and Luhansk in the Luhansk region, as well as near Vesele in the Donetsk region.
Another strike targeted a field fuel and lubricants depot near Stroitel in Russia’s Belgorod region.
The General Staff also provided an update on an earlier operation, confirming that Ukrainian forces destroyed a command and observation post belonging to a unit of a Russian airborne assault division near Ukrainsk in the Donetsk region on October 6.

The latest operations also targeted infrastructure associated with Russia’s missile program. Overnight on October 9, Ukrainian forces struck two missile-related facilities in the Nizhny Novgorod region, including sites involved in missile launch systems and the dismantling of intercontinental ballistic missiles.
