Ukrainian Combat Hawks Drones Destroy Russian Grad Launcher, Knock Out Msta-B Howitzer

Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed a Russian BM-21 Grad multiple-launch rocket system and disabled a 152 mm Msta-B howitzer on October 9.
The 25th Separate Sicheslav Air Assault Brigade reported the strikes on its official Telegram channel the same day, attributing them to the Combat Hawks Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 7th Air Assault Corps.

"Strike drones operated by the Combat Hawks Unmanned Systems Battalion precisely engaged the detected targets," the brigade stated.
The brigade reported that the Russian equipment was hit by strike drones. The BM-21 Grad was destroyed along with its crew and ammunition, while the Msta-B howitzer was rendered inoperable.
The BM-21 Grad is a Soviet-designed 122 mm multiple-launch rocket system built on a truck chassis. Its launcher carries 40 rockets and is designed to strike troops, equipment, and other targets across a wide area.

The 2A65 Msta-B is a Soviet-designed 152 mm towed howitzer used for long-range artillery fire. It can engage battlefield targets at ranges exceeding 20 kilometers, depending on the ammunition used.
Earlier, in September, a single drone crew from the Perun Unmanned Systems Battalion destroyed two BM-21 Grad launchers and damaged two more during one deployment, with one strike carried out after a 45-kilometer flight.
The crew held its position for 60 days, operating around the clock. Days earlier, on September 11, Ukrainian forces destroyed a rare North Korean Type-75 multiple-launch rocket system deployed by Russia, striking the 12-tube launcher directly with a drone.
