Units of the Ukrainian Navy have struck a communications hub used by Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in occupied Crimea.

According to the Ukrainian Navy’s official statement, the strike targeted a facility located at the 184th Research and Experimental Base in Sevastopol on September 11.

The site functioned as a key communications node for Russian naval operations and was directly involved in managing fleet units.

The Ukrainian Navy confirmed that the attacked object was positioned near the Sevastopol airfield, which Russian forces employ for military purposes.

The 184th facility, before Russia’s occupation of Crimea in 2014, was operated by Ukraine and specialized in hydrodynamic testing of ships and underwater vehicles, as well as research on marine technology and biology.

Earlier, on September 10, Ukrainian drones struck the Russian Aerospace Forces’ Center for Deep Space Communications in Vitino, occupied Crimea. The attack damaged the headquarters building and the main communications hub, despite Russian Pantsir-S1 systems attempting to intercept the drones.
