According to Ukraine’s General Staff on November 7, the extent of damage to the Iskander launchers is still being assessed.
The Iskander missile system is one of Russia’s primary platforms for launching short-range ballistic missiles against Ukrainian cities and military targets. Its Iskander-M variant can strike targets at distances of up to approximately 500 kilometers.
The General Staff emphasized that disabling these launchers would reduce Russia’s ability to conduct ballistic missile attacks against Ukraine.
Ukrainian forces also targeted a Russian Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and gun system in the Bryansk region. The system is designed to protect military installations and strategic infrastructure against aircraft, drones, and incoming missiles.

The strikes extended beyond Russian territory, with Ukrainian forces also targeting military infrastructure in Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine. In the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, Ukrainian forces struck Russian logistics and supply depots near Sokolohirsk and Zaaidarivka.
Another strike targeted a concentration of Russian drone operators near Novobohdanivka in the temporarily occupied part of Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region. The operations coincided with a Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region overnight on November 7.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that 36 ballistic missiles had been launched toward the capital and Kyiv region during the assault.
