According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense on November 4, the figures were provided by the Ukrainian Air Force and cover a wide range of threats, including ballistic and cruise missiles, long-range attack drones, and reconnaissance aircraft.

Among the intercepted missiles were 14 Kh-101 cruise missiles, 12 Kalibr cruise missiles, 11 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, eight Iskander-K cruise missiles, seven Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles, and one Zircon anti-ship missile.

Ukrainian forces also neutralized 143 S8000 Banderol weapons, alongside thousands of Russian drones.

The largest category consisted of 4,455 Shahed-131/136 attack drones, Gerbera drones, and Parodiya decoys. Another 2,688 Shahed-238 drones were intercepted, along with 1,104 reconnaissance UAVs and 809 Lancet loitering munitions.

Ukraine’s air defense operations involved fighter jets, army aviation, surface-to-air missile systems, mobile fire groups, drone operators, and electronic warfare equipment.

The Defense Ministry reported that Russian forces repeatedly adjusted drone flight routes and altitudes during October, combining attack drones with decoys and conducting large-scale missile strikes in an effort to complicate Ukrainian interception efforts.

Ballistic missiles remain a particular challenge for Ukraine’s air defenses, especially as Russia continues using them against civilian infrastructure. The ministry emphasized the need for additional systems capable of intercepting such weapons.

Earlier, Ukraine deployed a specialized electronic warfare shield over Kyiv to disrupt radio communication networks used by Russian Shahed drones. According to presidential adviser on defense technologies Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov on November 2, the operation involved installing equipment at hundreds of locations across the capital.
