Ukraine Strikes Russian Drone Launch Site in Donetsk and Ammo Depots in Luhansk

Ukrainian forces struck a Russian facility used to store, prepare, and launch attack drones in temporarily occupied Donetsk, as well as ammunition and logistics sites across the occupied parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The strikes were carried out on September 26 and overnight into September 27, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on September 27.

In Donetsk, Ukrainian forces targeted a site used by Russian troops for the storage, preparation, and launch of attack UAVs. The General Staff said such facilities remain a priority because strikes against them are intended to reduce Russia’s ability to deploy unmanned strike systems.

Two Russian ammunition depots were also hit in Krepenke and Luhansk in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, according to the military.

Ukrainian forces additionally struck a Russian logistics warehouse in Rovenky, Luhansk region, and a fuel and lubricants storage facility in Novoamvrosiivske in the occupied Donetsk region.

The General Staff did not provide details on the extent of the damage or the types of weapons used in the strikes.

“Work on key military targets of the Russian aggressor continues. More to come!” the General Staff said.

Earlier, on September 26, Ukrainian forces struck the Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant in Russia’s Rostov region, damaging several production facilities at a site that manufactures components for Russian missiles, artillery, and anti-tank weapons.
