Ukraine Targets Russian Drone Hub and Supply Route in Temporarily Occupied Part Of Kherson Region

Ukrainian forces struck a ground control relay for Russian Geran and Gerbera drones near Zaliznyi Port and a road bridge across the Henichesk Strait on July 27, disrupting enemy drone operations and military logistics across temporarily occupied parts of southern Ukraine.
The strikes were reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on July 27.

The General Staff declared that its forces would press on with the campaign, stating that "Ukraine's Defense Forces will continue to systematically carry out measures aimed at halting the armed aggression of the Russian Federation."
The relay near Zaliznyi Port in the Kherson region extends the range, stability, and control quality of the Geran and Gerbera strike drones that Russia uses against Ukrainian territory.
Destroying it degrades the enemy's ability to guide those drones over longer distances. The Geran is a Russian-produced version of the Iranian-designed Shahed, fielded alongside the lighter Gerbera in mass strikes deep into Ukraine.
The road bridge across the Henichesk Strait forms part of the network Russian forces rely on for military logistics across the temporarily occupied south, and its loss narrows the routes available for moving personnel and equipment.
The General Staff also confirmed a series of additional targets struck in the same operation:
an export terminal in Rostov region, where a fire broke out on the site after the strike;
a repair unit for the occupying forces in Kadiivka;
a fuel and lubricants depot in Simeikyne, Luhansk region;
a materiel and technical supplies depot in Perevalne in occupied Crimea.
The Henichesk Strait bridge belongs to a supply network Ukrainian forces have repeatedly struck to isolate temporarily occupied Crimea.
In June, they hit a bridge linking Henichesk with the Arabat Spit within days of declaring the strategically important Chonhar Bridge destroyed, part of a broader effort to sever the alternative corridors Russia uses to move personnel, fuel, and equipment between the peninsula and temporarily occupied parts of southern Ukraine.
