According to a company announcement released on June 3, ARX Robotics is expanding its operations across Europe, including in Ukraine and the United Kingdom, as part of a broader strategy to meet growing demand for autonomous military systems.
The new Munich site will serve as both the company’s headquarters and a production hub for its unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). ARX Robotics stated that the facility will play a central role in scaling the production of its robotic platforms, which are already used by several European armed forces.
In addition to the Munich expansion, the company announced the opening of a new office in Berlin focused on engagement with government institutions, defense organizations, and other stakeholders within the European defense sector.

ARX Robotics also said it intends to double its workforce by the end of 2026 as part of investments in engineering, manufacturing, and research and development capabilities.
Alongside the expansion plans, the company unveiled a new corporate identity, which it said reflects its transition from a startup to a larger European defense technology manufacturer.
“Europe is entering a new era of defense—an era of speed, autonomy, and sovereignty. This idea has been at the core of ARX Robotics since the beginning,” said ARX Robotics CEO and co-founder Marc Wietfeld.
“Over the past years, we have evolved from a startup into a next-generation European defense technology company developing battlefield-proven defense technologies. Today, we are taking the next step with a new brand identity, while maintaining the same mission: to be the bridge between the defense of today and the defense of tomorrow,” Wietfeld added.

Founded in 2022, ARX Robotics develops software-defined unmanned ground systems and autonomous technologies for military applications. Its flagship Mithra OS software platform is designed to integrate autonomous capabilities into both new and existing military vehicles.
According to the company, its robotic systems are currently in service with several European armed forces and are among the most widely deployed Western-made unmanned ground vehicles operating in Ukraine.
Earlier, on May 11, ARX Robotics announced plans to deliver several hundred additional GEREON unmanned ground vehicles to Ukraine under a new contract with the Defense Forces. The company said hundreds of its robotic platforms were already operating in Ukraine or had been ordered, describing itself as the largest Western supplier of unmanned ground vehicles to the country.
