Footage released by the ministry shows an unidentified man removing branches that had obstructed the UGV’s route, allowing the vehicle to continue its mission.

The ground system was being operated by personnel from the 4th Separate Detachment of the National Guard’s Omega Special Purpose Center when it encountered the obstacle.

“Despite the danger, the man cleared the road with his own hands, enabling the defenders to maneuver quickly,” the ministry said. “The compassion and courage of this Ukrainian have once again shown us that our strength lies in unity. Thank you.”

Ukrainian troops in the Sumy region recovered a mine-damaged unmanned ground vehicle with help from a local woman who happened to be passing by on a bicycle, Ukraine’s 71st Separate Airmobile Brigade reported.

The UGV hit a mine during a combat mission. After troops sent a second UGV to retrieve it but could not secure the damaged vehicle remotely, the woman stepped in and helped the operators complete the recovery.
