Ukraine’s FP-1 Drones Hit Russia Twice in One Night—A Wildberries Mega-Warehouse and Major Oil Refinery

Ukrainian FP-1 long-range drones struck a major Wildberries logistics hub in Russia’s Tambov region and one of the country’s largest oil refineries, Ukrainian defense technology company Fire Point reported on August 26.

The first reports of a fire at the Wildberries facility in Kotovsk emerged shortly after 1 am, as residents said they heard at least 10 explosions before a large blaze broke out in the city.

The regional governor later confirmed that the logistics center had been hit.

Covering roughly 108,000 square meters, the Kotovsk complex is one of Wildberries’ key logistics facilities in central Russia. The hub began operations in 2025 and, once running at full capacity, was designed to store as many as 54 million items.

Wildberries is a major Russian online marketplace with an extensive distribution network across the country, selling everything from everyday consumer goods to electronics and other equipment.

The August 26 attack marked the second strike on the Kotovsk facility in just over a month.

Drones previously targeted the warehouse on July 18, forcing operations to shut down after a fire temporarily. Seven employees were reported killed in that attack.

Footage from the latest strike showed a massive fire spreading across the logistics complex, with large sections of the facility engulfed in flames.

Several hours later, Ukrainian drones struck another major target—the LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery in Kstovo, in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod region.

The facility is Russia’s fourth-largest oil refinery by processing capacity and its second-largest gasoline producer.

The Kstovo plant has a design capacity of approximately 17 million metric tons of crude oil per year. Before a series of Ukrainian drone attacks, it produced around 5 million metric tons of gasoline annually, more than 5 million metric tons of diesel, roughly 2 million metric tons of fuel oil, and about 500,000 metric tons of bitumen.

Overall, the refinery manufactures more than 50 types of petroleum products, making it a major component of Russia’s domestic fuel industry.

Earlier, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said Ukraine’s long-range strikes against Russian refineries and warehouses are increasing the economic cost of the war for Moscow and could help pressure Russia into peace negotiations.
