Ukrainian Drone Pioneer General Cherry Goes Into “Turbo Mode” After Russian Air Strike Hits Facility

A production site belonging to Ukrainian defense-tech company “General Cherry” has been damaged as a result of a Russian attack, as reported by company’s co-founder Yaroslav Hryshyn.
Hryshyn wrote on June 22 that one of the company’s manufacturing facilities had been hit, but stressed that the strike would not halt the company’s operations.
We bring you stories from the ground. Your support keeps our team in the field.
According to him, no employees were injured in the attack.
“The most important thing is that all our employees are alive and well. That is what matters most. This is war. We were prepared for such events. The enemy will not be able to stop us. On the contrary, we continue working in turbo mode 24/7 to respond as quickly and as effectively as possible,” he said.
The company is currently assessing the scale of the damage and determining the scope of recovery work.

Hryshyn emphasized that the company continues to fulfill its commitments and maintain production processes despite the consequences of the attack.
“Everything will be restored. Iron and equipment mean nothing compared to people. We are working and ready to do even more,” he added.
What is “General Cherry”
“General Cherry” is a Ukrainian defense-tech company founded in 2023. The company focuses on the development and large-scale production of FPV strike drones and interceptor unmanned aerial vehicles.
Its product lineup also includes Bullet anti-Shahed interceptors, as well as “General Cherry AIR” counter-reconnaissance drones designed to target enemy surveillance systems.
The company produces around 50,000 drones per month and aims to supply its systems across the entire frontline.

In April, “General Cherry” has unveiled a new fixed-wing loitering munition called “Khmarynka” (Cloudlet), capable of carrying a 7-kilogram payload.
The system was developed as a low-cost, mass-producible solution designed for striking targets at tactical depth. It has a maximum operational range of up to 50 kilometers, a flight time of as long as 60 minutes, and a top speed of 140 km/h.
The drone features a wingspan of 196 cm and is launched via a catapult system, enabling rapid field deployment without the need for specialized infrastructure.
