New Ukrainian AIR Pro Interceptor Drone Hunts Russian Recon UAVs at 200 km/h

Ukrainian defense-tech company General Chereshnya has unveiled its upgraded AIR Pro interceptor drone, designed to shoot down Russian reconnaissance and strike unmanned aircraft, according to Militarnyi on December 3.
The new model is a fully updated version of the company’s AIR line and has been codified and approved for use by Ukraine’s security and defense forces, which the manufacturer states have already employed it in the field.

In a Facebook post, General Chereshnya described the AIR Pro as “a new level of air-defense interceptor” intended to give Ukrainian units greater ability to counter hostile drones.
A video posted on Telegram shows the predecessor of the General Chereshnya AIR interceptor drone in action against aerial targets, accompanied by a caption stating that it destroyed 548 air targets in a single month and that the flagship platform remained the leading drone interceptor by number of aerial targets shot down in October.
According to the company, the AIR Pro can reach speeds above 200 kilometers per hour, fly for up to 35 minutes and operate at altitudes of up to 6.8 kilometers, enabling it to engage a range of small reconnaissance and loitering munitions.
The interceptor carries a payload of up to 0.8 kilograms and is advertised as maintaining a stable control link at maximum range and height during high-speed maneuvers.

General Chereshnya said the system “retains one of the key advantages of the previous model–the best cost-to-effectiveness ratio on the market,” noting that a single drone priced about $1140 is intended to destroy targets worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s domestically produced General Chereshnya AIR interceptor drone became the country’s most effective platform in October, with its developer citing 548 confirmed Russian UAV shootdowns and describing it as a key element in Ukraine’s layered air-defense system.
