Ukrainian Drones Strike Edelweiss-95 Oil Depot in Russia’s Krasnodar Region

Ukrainian drones targeted Russia’s Krasnodar region, sparking a significant fire at a fuel storage facility operated by wholesale trader Edelweiss-95, an independent Russian news channel ASTRA reported on September 28.
Residents in the village of Novotitarovskaya reported hearing the sound of incoming drones followed by multiple heavy explosions near the local railway lines.

The attack in Krasnodar is part of a wide Ukrainian drone campaign that has severely disrupted Moscow’s war economy. By systematically targeting critical refineries and storage depots, these strikes, launched in retaliation for Russian attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, have cut Russian gasoline production to just 65% of seasonal demand while inflicting over $12 billion in overall damages on the Russian oil industry.
Following an OSINT analysis of eyewitness video footage from the scene, researchers at ASTRA confirmed that the Edelweiss-95 oil depot had been struck and was actively burning.
The targeted facility is a critical logistics hub for the regional fuel trade. According to company information highlighted by ASTRA, the depot has a storage capacity of 4,500 cubic meters and a private railway siding dedicated to receiving and dispatching petroleum shipments.

Edelweiss-95 has operated in the Russian market for 30 years, specializing in the wholesale distribution of Euro-5 diesel and high-octane gasoline (AI-92, AI-95, and AI-100). The independent outlet ASTRA noted that the company sources its petroleum products directly from Russia’s largest oil refineries.
Before the strike, the company said its private depot enabled rapid logistics, allowing fuel shipments to be processed and dispatched within a single working day. While the massive fire was confirmed by ASTRA, the exact extent of the damage to the facility’s storage tanks and rail infrastructure remains unclear.
Ukrainian drones have also recently struck Russia’s Ilsky oil refinery in the same region overnight on September 26, sparking fires at the 6.6-million-ton capacity facility that supplies the Russian Armed Forces.
While local authorities only acknowledged blazes at unnamed enterprises, Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed the operation, and independent OSINT analysts verified footage of the burning refinery, which was previously targeted on August 8 to degrade Moscow’s military supply chain.
