First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska presented the Global Dictionary of Resilience to an international audience on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, as reported by the First Lady on Facebook on September 24.
The gathering brought together first ladies and gentlemen from 21 countries to address the theme World 2026: Finding Footing in Times of Uncertainty. A Mosaic of Experiences.

The initiative builds directly on discussions started during the sixth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen held in Kyiv in August, marking the third such event held alongside the UN General Assembly following earlier meetings at the 79th and 80th sessions.
During the event, participants from participating nations shared their individual concepts of resilience.
The publication, which previously incorporated experiences from 38 countries, expanded further with contributions from Austria, the Bahamas, Belize, Benin, Bolivia, Canada, Estonia, Fiji, Guatemala, Honduras, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Panama, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Tuvalu, the United Arab Emirates, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The Ukrainian contribution highlighted the concept of "sofiynist," defined as the will to live, the strength to fight, and the wisdom to learn.
“Every country brought its own word. Different languages, different traditions, but one answer to the question of what helps societies stay together when times are tough,” said Olena Zelenska.
She expressed gratitude to her colleagues for joining the discussion on finding support in challenging times, emphasizing that the dictionary continues to grow as Ukraine invites additional nations to contribute to the publication.

Previously, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that over 2,100 Ukrainian children forcibly taken by Russia had been successfully returned as part of the "Bring Kids Back UA" initiative.
According to his statement, this figure included 150 children who had been repatriated since the beginning of 2026.
The update followed a report presented by initiative representatives Oleksandr Bevz and Maksym Maksymov, after which Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to international partners for their support, noted the recent UN classification of the forced deportations as a crime against humanity, and highlighted upcoming coalition meetings aimed at securing further returns.
