Jet-Powered Russian Drone Enters Moldova Following Ambassador's Recall From Moscow

On the night of August 10, a Russian jet-powered drone violated Moldovan airspace before returning to Ukrainian airspace during an air strike on Odesa region.

Radar systems operated by the Air Operations Service of the Moldovan Army detected the object at 23:41, moving from Stepanivka, Ukraine, across the border over the village of Pryozerne in the Slobodzia district, before exiting north of Stepanivka, according to the Moldovan Ministry of Defense.

The characteristics of the object recorded during the August 10 breach indicated it was a jet-powered Geran-3 drone.

During the same period, the Ukrainian Air Force reported a Russian jet-powered drone flying over Odesa region near border areas adjacent to Moldova.

The diplomatic recall of the Moldovan ambassador occurred after the August 9 incident, where an aerial vehicle struck a tree in a forest strip and detonated at a height of 2.5 meters.
