Russian Concert Promoter Bringing Kanye West to Russia Awarded Medal for Supporting Invasion

Anna Subcheva, head of the Say Agency organizing Ye's upcoming show in Russia, holds a medal from the Russian Ministry of Defense for her active assistance to military forces during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, according to Agents Media.
Subcheva serves as general director and owns a 50% stake in Say Agency, while managing partner Tatyana Kondratenko holds the remaining half.

Initial ticket sales for the performance began at 9,000 rubles ($108), with scalpers driving prices significantly higher amidst strong demand. Subcheva directly supports military efforts through personal contributions and public involvement.
She frequently assists the Life Code charitable foundation, an organization that provides supplies to civilians and military personnel. Through this foundation, Subcheva transferred thermal imagers and body armor to Russian troops.
Commander of military unit 41698, active in Donetsk Oblast, awarded her the medal For Participant of the “Special Military Operation”, to which she responded on video, "I serve Russia."Beyond her charitable ties, data leaks and social media activity link Subcheva to several pro-war online communities, including chats associated with the Z-channel Two Majors, MDK Donetsk, and Annexing Occupiers.

In June 2023, she posted photos from Donetsk showing a memorial to former Donetsk People's Republic leader Alexander Zakharchenko and a Z-symbol sculpture. In a separate personal statement online, Subcheva noted that while early phone calls from friends in Odesa caused her distress at the start of the invasion, she later came to view Russia's actions as correct.
Say Agency previously managed Russian performances for international artists including Al Bano, Jason Derulo, Vini Vici, and Flo Rida. Until 2024, Subcheva held a stake in the ticketing platform Intickets, which works with Moscow theaters and museums, before selling a 40% share to the VK holding company.
The Intickets logo appears on the promotional posters for Ye's event, where Subcheva has publicly commented on ticket velocity and noted that Ye declined to share the stage with Russian singer Shaman. The upcoming visit marks the highest-profile appearance by a Western artist in Russia since the full-scale invasion began.

Ye, a 24-time Grammy winner listed among the highest-paid musicians by Forbes, previously drew widespread criticism for expressing sympathy for Hitler, for which he issued an apology in January 2026. Subcheva and her representative Zhanna Garber declined to comment, after which several war-related posts disappeared from Subcheva's social media page.
In July 2026, musicians from the US, Britain, Germany, and France were scheduled to perform at the Outline electronic music festival in the Moscow region.
Authorities canceled the seven-day event on July 21, citing the threat of Ukrainian drone strikes. Critics have argued that such appearances help normalize life under the regime and generate economic activity that feeds state revenues.
