Ukraine Demines Over 900 Hectares of Liberated Land and 70 Kilometers of Transport Routes in July

Ukrainian demining units have cleared 923 hectares of liberated territory and neutralized 276 explosive hazard items in July 2026, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported on August 4.

The monthly clearance efforts prioritized vital transport networks and agricultural areas essential for restoring economic stability in de-occupied communities.

Engineering specialists inspected and rendered safe 203.65 hectares of agricultural land, 20.43 kilometers of roads, and 50.27 kilometers of railway tracks throughout July, the ministry’s Main Directorate of Mine Action, Civil Protection, and Ecological Safety reported.

The latest operations bring the total number of explosive remnants of war neutralized by military demining teams since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which began in 2022, to 482,698 items.
