US Tests Ukrainian Counter-Drone Technology in Key Defense Initiative

Ukrainian electronic warfare systems built by Phantom Defense have been tested in the United States as part of Gauntlet II, a key stage of the American Drone Dominance program, according to Militarnyi.
During the trials, the company deployed a complete anti-drone defense network combining electronic countermeasure systems, the Streamhunter video interception system, and a command and control (C2) framework used for target detection, classification, action execution, and outcome verification.

Phantom Defense reported that its combat-proven systems have detected over 11,000 enemy drones during deployment in integrated defense systems, with video footage officially confirming more than 7,000 successful neutralizations.
The equipment presented included the Specter PRO, a dome-type and directional electronic warfare system created to safeguard company strongpoints, brigade headquarters, and critical infrastructure facilities.
The trial also featured the Specter L, Specter X, and Specter XL, which form a series of compact electronic warfare tools optimized for complex and extreme environments. These mobile units are used by front-line teams to shield military personnel and vehicles operating close to the combat line, Militarnyi reported.
During the event, Phantom Defense used its Streamhunter technology to intercept live video feeds broadcast from participating unmanned aerial vehicles. The integrated C2 platform oversaw situational awareness, shared target data, and coordinated all active countermeasures.

The company confirmed to journalists that every radio-controlled aircraft permitted in this testing phase was affected by its jammers, stating, “Not a single radio-controlled platform passed the test without being affected by our systems. Depending on the scenario, the impact hit the control channel, the video link, or other parts of the radio signal.”
Testing took place under strict radio frequency regulations that differed from actual operational conditions in Ukraine, though specific performance metrics regarding individual drone manufacturers remain confidential, as reported by Militarnyi.
Beyond jamming duties, Phantom Defense simulated real battlefield conditions to measure how active electronic warfare alters unmanned flight performance. Following the successful trial, American organizers invited the Ukrainian firm to participate in upcoming events and future testing phases within the Drone Dominance initiative.

Earlier, at the Eurosatory 2026 defense exhibition in Paris, Ukrainian defense company Phantom Defense showcased an integrated counter-drone ecosystem that combined detection sensors, electronic warfare tools, kinetic interceptors, and a command-and-control platform.
Operating under a "Detect–Defeat" framework, the system processed data from radars, ELINT sensors, and video feeds to track threats, assist operators, and record engagement outcomes.
The presentation featured the Specter electronic warfare suite, Blade and Balaban interceptor drones, Karakurt net launchers, the Streamhunter video interception system, and the Skydarix AESA radar. According to the company, these technologies were combat-tested in Ukraine to protect urban infrastructure, successfully neutralizing over 7,000 enemy drones.
