12 Russian Combat Vehicles Obliterated by Ukrainian Night Bombers Behind Front Lines, Video

Ukrainian forces have carried out a targeted strike that resulted in the destruction of 12 Russian military vehicles behind the front lines in Donetsk region, according to statements released by the National Guard of Ukraine on January 17.
The operation was conducted by Lasar’s Group, a special unit of Ukraine’s National Guard, in coordination with the Military Aviation Detachment of the State Border Guard Service’s Operational Intelligence Directorate.
According to official statements from the unit, the strike took place within the zone of responsibility of Russia’s 3rd Army Corps (3rd AC).
The Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance team identified a concentration of Russian military equipment that had been deployed behind the front line and was reportedly being prepared for future offensive operations on the Lyman axis. Once confirmed, the target data was relayed to night bomber crews of Lasar’s Group, who conducted a series of precision drone strikes.
The Ukrainian National Guard reported that ten armored fighting vehicles (AFVs), one military truck, and one fuel tanker were destroyed in the attack.
“Based on the reconnaissance data, night bomber crews executed a series of accurate strikes, resulting in the destruction of 10 armored vehicles, 1 truck, and 1 fuel transporter,” the statement said.

According to the unit, the eliminated equipment had been intended for use in mechanized assaults in the Lyman sector of the front, where Russian forces have been attempting to regroup and advance in recent weeks.
Earlier, Ukrainian forces repelled a Russian mechanized assault near Dobropillya in Donetsk region, destroying nine armored vehicles during an attempted advance toward the settlement of Shakhove. According to the Azov National Guard Brigade, the Russian attack involved tanks and infantry fighting vehicles and was halted through coordinated use of artillery, FPV drones, and defensive fortifications.
