China has provided four batches of humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war and is prepared to support post-war reconstruction, according to Li Ming, spokesperson for the China International Development Cooperation Agency on March 18.

Speaking at a press briefing, Li responded to reports regarding Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statement in February, in which he expressed expectations for China’s assistance in restoring peace and rebuilding Ukraine.

“We are ready to continue providing support within our capacity in accordance with the needs and requests of the involved parties, including post-war reconstruction,” Li stated.

China has consistently emphasized its position as a proponent of global stability and fairness. The country has previously called for a sustainable peace solution to the war in Ukraine and maintains that it will contribute to international efforts aimed at mitigating humanitarian consequences and rebuilding affected areas.

Earlier, Chinese journalists from Phoenix TV, who previously reported exclusively from the Russian side, joined Ukrainian forces in combat operations against Russian positions. The shift follows the work of correspondent Lu Yuguang, who had been embedded with Russian troops in 2022, reporting from Mariupol and other cities under attack.
