Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi Orders Troop Reinforcement in Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv Sectors
Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces visited positions in the Donetsk regions and ordered deployment reserves focusing on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv sectors, reported Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi on November 29.
“The main goal was to personally engage with commanders directly involved in combat, resolve any pressing challenges, and deliver essential assistance,” Syrskyi wrote.
Following these evaluations, decisions were made to reinforce frontline units with fresh reserves, additional ammunition, weaponry, and military equipment.
“Our defenders' resilience and courage continue to disrupt enemy plans, extending far beyond these areas,” he added.
Ukrainian forces are not only holding back Russian advances but also inflicting significant losses on Russian personnel and equipment.
“We remain committed to inflicting heavy losses on the enemy,” Syrskiy said, expressing gratitude to Ukrainian soldiers for their steadfastness and bravery in the fight against Russian aggression.
Russian troops have escalated offensive operations in the Donetsk region, launching relentless assaults on Ukrainian positions but making only significant territorial gains. Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions are currently the hottest spots on the frontline where the largest number of Russian forces are concentrated.
In addition to the intensified fighting, Ukrainian officials have reported a surge in war crimes committed by Russian forces.
Both in the Pokrovsk area and across the broader Donetsk region, instances of unarmed Ukrainian defenders being captured and killed by Russian troops have become very frequent.
Earlier, Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi announced plans for a future Ukrainian counteroffensive.
