Russia's daily casualties in Ukraine surpassed 2,000 for the first time, according to a report from the Ukrainian General Staff on November 29.

The report stated that Russia’s forces sustained 2,030 casualties over the previous 24 hours.

This marks a new record, surpassing the previous high of 1,950 recorded on November 12. The total number of Russian casualties to date stands at 738,660.

The figures do not specify the number of killed versus wounded, but it is generally understood to include dead, wounded, missing, and captured personnel.

Previous UK assessments indicated that Russia has sustained around 550,000 casualties. Russia has not updated its reported troop losses since September 2022, when it acknowledged nearly 6,000 deaths.

Earlier, Estonian Colonel Ants Kiviselg, head of the Estonian Defense Forces Intelligence Center, stated that North Korean troops are likely to face significant losses in Ukraine, potentially surpassing those of Russian forces.
