Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,280 Troops, 6 Armored Vehicles, 17 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russia suffered an estimated 1,280 personnel losses over the past day, Ukraine’s General Staff reported in its morning update on February 27.

In its latest tally covering the period from February 24, 2022, to February 27, 2026, the General Staff said Russia’s cumulative losses have reached roughly 1,265,130 troops.

Ukraine’s estimate also lists 11,706 tanks (+2), 24,097 armored fighting vehicles (+6), and 37,631 artillery systems (+17).

Ukraine also reported continued heavy losses in drones and missiles, estimating Russia has lost 148,021 operational-tactical UAVs (+883) and 4,384 cruise missiles (+37) since the start of the full-scale invasion.

Other totals listed include 1,659 MLRS, 1,305 air defense systems, 435 aircraft, 348 helicopters, 29 ships/boats, 2 submarines, 80,180 vehicles and fuel tankers (+116), and 4,075 special equipment vehicles.

On the battlefield, Ukraine’s General Staff said 230 combat clashes were recorded over the past day, with the highest number of Russian attacks reported in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole directions.

Earlier, reports emerged that Ukrainian special forces from the Defense Intelligence Directorate’s “Artan” unit, working alongside other formations of Ukraine’s Armored Forces, regained control of several frontline positions near the settlement of Stepnohirsk in the Zaporizhzhia region.
