Daily Update: Russia Loses 800 Troops, 41 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost approximately 800 troops and five tanks over the past day, according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces in its morning update on February 13.

Total estimated Russian combat losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, now stand at:

  • personnel: about 1,250,950 (+800);

  • tanks: 11,667 (+5);

  • armored combat vehicles: 24,028 (+3);

  • artillery systems: 37,254 (+41);

  • multiple-launch rocket systems: 1,642 (+1);

  • air defense systems: 1,300 (+1);

  • aircraft: 435 (no change);

  • helicopters: 347 (no change);

  • operational-tactical drones: 133,392 (+1,239);

  • cruise missiles: 4,286 (+16);

  • warships or boats: 28 (no change);

  • submarines: 2 (no change);

  • military vehicles and fuel tankers: 78,268 (+127);

  • special equipment: 4,070 (no change).

Over the past 24 hours, 142 combat engagements were recorded along the front line, the General Staff said. Ukrainian defense forces continue to repel Russian assault attempts, disrupt offensive plans, and inflict significant losses across multiple sectors.

As of 8:00 a.m. on February 13, Russian forces had launched two missile strikes using 23 missiles, carried out 90 airstrikes, and dropped 270 guided aerial bombs all over Ukraine.

In addition, Moscow deployed 7,045 suicide drones and conducted 3,281 attacks on Ukrainian settlements and military positions, including 91 strikes from multiple-launch rocket systems, according to the report.

Earlier, a senior NATO official said that Russia has lost approximately 1.3 million troops killed or wounded since launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
