Drones targeted a military airfield in Buturlinovka, Voronezh region, in an overnight operation on June 13, 2025.
The base is home to Russia’s 899th Guards Assault Aviation Regiment.
According to Militarnyi on June 15, video footage verified by the Telegram channel Supernova+ shows the moment of impact, with multiple explosions recorded near the airbase.

The facility is located approximately 3 kilometers from the town of Buturlinovka and around 200–250 kilometers from Ukraine’s border.
The attack reportedly bypassed the airfield’s air defense systems. Local residents reported hearing about 15 explosions during the strike.
The Buturlinovka airbase was reactivated in 2014 and fully restored for operational use by 2017. Satellite imagery confirms the site at coordinates 50.793544, 40.609673.
The facility currently hosts Su-34 fighter-bombers, which have been extensively used in airstrikes against Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukrainian drones struck key industrial targets in Russia, including the Nevinnomyssk Azot chemical plant and the Novokuybishevsky Catalyst Plant, disrupting ammonia production and critical fuel processing used in Russia’s defense sector, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on June 14.
