The Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant is located more than 60 kilometers from the front line and has been under Russian occupation since 2014. It is one of the largest steel production facilities in eastern Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces reported a series of coordinated drone strikes on Russian military targets in occupied Crimea and the Zaporizhzhia region, including a missile command post, elements of an S-400 air defense system, and an ammunition depot, as part of efforts to degrade Russia’s air defense capabilities.
