Exclusive Video: Russian Drone Directly Strikes Residential High-Rise in Kyiv

Russian drone strikes directly into a residential high-rise in Kyiv, Ukraine, in an exclusive footage obtained by UNITED24 Media from Ukraine’s Security Service during a major overnight assault on the capital and surrounding areas on May 7.
Russian forces launched a combined ballistic missile and drone attack early Tuesday, killing at least two people and wounding eight others, including four children, according to Ukrainian officials. The strike targeted both residential and critical infrastructure.

“Eleven enemy drones were shot down over Kyiv and its suburbs,” said Mayor Vitali Klitschko. He added that 10 more drones left the city’s airspace, while three lost contact with radar.
Air defense systems also intercepted a Russian ballistic missile, which fell in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district. The debris damaged non-residential infrastructure and ignited a fire that was extinguished by 3:00 am. One person was injured in that incident.
In total, Kyiv’s military administration confirmed two deaths and eight injuries—including four children. Police later updated the count to include a woman who suffered a severe stress reaction and was treated at the scene.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha, condemned Russia’s attack on Ukraine on May 7, calling the action “a deliberate mockery of US peace efforts.”
“Putin responds with such brutal strikes to Ukraine’s unconditional proposal for a 30-day or longer ceasefire. He makes a deliberate mockery of US peace efforts,” Sybiha wrote.
