Russia Launches Missile and Drone Barrage on Kyiv, Killing Two and Injuring Children

Russian forces launched a wave of ballistic and drone attacks on Kyiv and its suburbs, killing at least two people and injuring eight others, including four children.
A total of 28 drones were launched toward Kyiv, 11 of which were shot down over the capital and its outskirts. Ten others exited the city’s airspace, while three drones were lost from radar, according to Kyiv Mayor, Vitali Klitschko on May 7.
Ukrainian Air Defense successfully intercepted the ballistic missile, which fell in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district. The missile damaged non-residential infrastructure and sparked a fire that was extinguished by 3:00 am. One person was injured in that incident.
