Ukrainian drone units stopped a Russian attempt to advance toward Pokrovsk after several armored vehicles became stuck on a river crossing—turning the stalled convoy into an easy target for FPV operators and heavy bomb‑dropping drones, the 91st Separate Anti‑Tank Battalion and the 1st Air Force Combined Rifles Brigade reported on November 17.

Russian troops had been trying to infiltrate the area in small groups under the cover of thick fog, occasionally bringing in armored vehicles to probe Ukrainian lines.

According to Nazar “Trener,” a platoon commander with the “RUBAK” strike drone company, the weather briefly lifted and revealed a column of Russian armor jammed on a makeshift crossing.

“It was a routine day of work,” he said. “When the fog cleared, we saw their vehicles stuck on the bridge. We spotted them in the afternoon and struck immediately.”

Footage released by Ukrainian units shows a damaged Russian tank and two destroyed BMP infantry fighting vehicles. The hits halted the assault and prevented Russian forces from approaching Ukrainian positions.

Drone operators from “RUBAK” were the first to strike, targeting enemy infantry and then switching to armor as it appeared. Meanwhile, aerial reconnaissance from the 91st battalion located additional Russian vehicles on the same crossing. FPV drones from nearby units scored precise hits that stopped the column entirely.

Heavy bomb‑carrying drones were then launched to finish the job. Video from the scene shows craters and shattered debris where the bridge had been.

“When every unit does its job, the enemy has no chance,” the anti‑tank battalion said.

“Trener” added that fog often pushes Russian forces to rely on infantry movement, but any time armored vehicles show up, “they’re destroyed immediately.”

Earlier, Ukrainian troops eliminated a Russian military intelligence (GRU) unit operating near the city of Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region.
