From Supply Runs to Strikes, British Malloy T-150 Drones Hit Russians Hard

British-made Malloy T-150 octocopter drones have proven capable of carrying out missions even in difficult weather conditions, according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense on April 15.
The drones have been in service with Ukraine’s Defense Forces since 2022 and have established themselves as reliable aerial “cargo trucks” on the battlefield.

They were used in an operation to destroy a bridge in the Kherson region that Russian forces had relied on for logistics.
“These UAVs delivered explosives that made it possible to significantly damage the bridge supports, paving the way for its eventual destruction,” the ministry said.
The Malloy T-150 is a heavy-lift octocopter equipped with eight rotors and designed primarily for transporting supplies such as ammunition, medical equipment, spare parts, and food directly to frontline positions.

The platform was first tested by the UK Royal Marines and is known for its ability to operate more reliably than lighter drones in challenging weather conditions.
Its design allows for rapid deployment, with payloads secured using specialized mounts or placed in cargo compartments. The drone can carry loads of up to 68 kilograms (150 pounds), which is reflected in its name.

The Malloy T-150 measures approximately 2.65 meters in length, 2.05 meters in width, and 0.71 meters in height. Its removable battery system enables quick turnaround times, allowing it to return to operations with minimal delay.
In terms of performance, the drone has a range of up to 37 kilometers, can remain airborne for up to 36 minutes depending on payload weight, and reaches speeds of up to 108 kilometers per hour. It is powered by an electric propulsion system.

“Thanks to its capabilities, the Malloy T-150 has become both a reliable support tool and a means of carrying out precise combat tasks in modern warfare,” the ministry added.
In addition to the Malloy T-150, the United Kingdom recently announced its largest drone package for Ukraine to date, pledging at least 120,000 drones to be delivered this year.
The package will incorporate thousands of long-range strike drones, intelligence and reconnaissance systems, logistics drones, and maritime capabilities that London described as battle-proven on Ukraine’s frontline.
