From Ukraine’s Front Lines to US Forces: Nightmare FPV Joins BLUE UAS Program

Danish Renegade UxS says its Nightmare FPV drone has been officially added to the US government’s BLUE UAS Cleared List, opening the door for its procurement and use across American military units, Defence Blog reported on December 3.
The company said the platform is available in both analog and digital variants and reached cleared status through cooperation with Nocturnal AI, a US defense partner focused on unmanned systems.

Renegade UxS highlighted the drone’s field record, noting that it “has been used in Ukraine and has delivered Top 3 results in major FPV fly-offs with both the US Army and the US Marine Corps.”
The company added that the system has proven itself not only NDAA-compliant but also combat-tested alongside US partners abroad.
Nightmare is described as a software-defined FPV strike drone built for frontline attack missions, offering rapid responsiveness and short-range strike capability.

According to the company, the design “is designed to give tactical units responsive, close-range attack capability with a platform that can be produced, deployed, adapted, and sustained at scale.”
Its inclusion in the BLUE UAS program streamlines adoption across US units by bypassing lengthy acquisition processes and clearing the way for faster procurement, testing, and deployment.
Earlier, AIRO Group Holdings and Ukraine’s Bullet (Degree-Trans LLC) signed a letter of intent to form a 50/50 joint venture to produce high-speed interceptor drones for US, NATO, and Ukrainian customers.
