A public exchange between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump has gained international attention, prompting responses from prominent public figures.

According to Unian, several well-known actors and public personalities have expressed support for Ukraine. American actor Pedro Pascal, recognized for his roles in Game of Thrones, Narcos, and The Last of Us, shared an image on Instagram featuring a map of Ukraine with the phrase “Courage has a name” alongside a photo of President Zelenskyy.

Comedian and film producer Ben Stiller (Zoolander, Meet the Parents, Night at the Museum) posted an emoji of the Ukrainian flag on X (formerly Twitter).

Astronaut Scott Kelly, in a post on the platform, described the current stance of the U.S. administration as unacceptable, stating: “Facts: Putin is a dictator and murderer. Russia invaded Ukraine. Ukraine is fighting for their lives. America used to stand up against tyrants. This is not who we are as a nation. Disgraceful.”

Other figures have also weighed in. Actress Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games) posted the Ukrainian flag on Instagram, expressing solidarity with Ukraine.

French actor Sebastian Roché (The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural) shared a post from French President Emmanuel Macron, in which Macron reaffirmed Russia’s role as the aggressor and Ukraine as the victim of an attack.

Actress Alyssa Milano (Charmed) reposted multiple comments critical of the meeting, including one stating: “President Zelenskyy represents a nation whose citizens have sacrificed their lives and shed blood for the freedom they cherish. He deserves respect, not humiliation.” She later published a post addressing Ukrainians directly, saying: “I urge all public figures, billionaires, elected officials, and world leaders who believe in democracy to help overcome this madness. The fight against this regime and against fascism depends on all of you.”

British writer and philanthropist J.K. Rowling, who has previously voiced support for Ukraine, reshared posts from European leaders advocating for Ukraine. Actor Misha Collins (Supernatural) also commented, stating on Instagram that he was ashamed of his country’s stance. “I saw two arrogant, treacherous cowards trying to force a courageous leader to submit. I am ashamed of my country. President Zelenskyy, we appreciate your resilience,” he wrote.

Earlier, world leaders reacted to the tense meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House. The discussion, centered on Ukraine’s war effort and military aid, drew strong statements of solidarity from European leaders.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk assured Ukraine that it is not alone, while German leaders, including Chancellor Olaf Scholz and CDU’s Johann Wadephul, emphasized unwavering support and condemned the White House atmosphere. French President Emmanuel Macron reaffirmed that Russia is the aggressor, and Moldovan President Maia Sandu underscored Ukraine’s fight for freedom.

Leaders from Spain, Ireland, Lithuania, Sweden, and Norway reiterated their commitment to Ukraine, with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson highlighting the broader implications of the war for Europe. Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs called for diplomatic efforts to achieve a just peace, and Czech, Portuguese, and Luxembourg officials reaffirmed their countries’ backing of Kyiv.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa praised Zelenskyy’s leadership, urging him to “be strong, be brave, be fearless.” Dutch and Belgian leaders echoed the call for continued European support, while Finland’s foreign minister emphasized Ukraine’s democratic choice.
