Iran Ridicules Trump After US Floats 15-Point Plan to End Regional War

Iran’s military spokesperson mocked Washington on March 25 after US President Donald Trump stated Tehran wanted a deal to end the war in the Middle East, according to Reuters on March 25.
Ebrahim Zolfaqari, spokesperson for the unified command of Iran’s armed forces, made the remarks through state media a day after Trump’s comment.

“Has the level of your inner struggle reached the stage of you negotiating with yourself?” Zolfaqari stated, according to Reuters, before adding: “People like us can never get along with people like you.”
The Iranian response framed Washington as divided and unable to define its own position, the outlet noted.
Zolfaqari also linked any future regional stability to the role of Iran’s armed forces, while warning that US investments and pre-war energy prices would not return unless Washington accepted that reality.

At the same time, Washington is reinforcing its military presence even as it pursues a parallel diplomatic track with Tehran.
The Pentagon is now preparing to send another 3,000 to 4,000 US troops to the Middle East.
Widening a regional buildup as Washington balances military pressure with an ongoing diplomacy track toward Tehran.
The deployment is expected to include elements of the 82nd Airborne Division, adding to an already sizable American presence in the region and following the earlier dispatch of Marines and sailors aboard the USS Boxer.
The move comes after Trump described recent contacts with Iran as productive, even as Tehran rejected that account and US planning reportedly continued around scenarios tied to the Strait of Hormuz.
No decision has been made to send American ground forces into Iran itself.
