Partisans Expose Critical Failures in Russian Air-Defense Systems on Zaporizhzhia Front

Agents of the partisan movement ATESH reported serious problems in the air-defense systems of Russian occupation forces on the Zaporizhzhia axis.
In a statement based on information from their sources within air-defense units, the movement said the equipment is in a catastrophic condition.
“Sanctions, strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on repair facilities and production defects have led to the mass failure of air-defense systems, including Tor SAM complexes,” ATESH said on October 14.
According to the movement, the acute shortage of serviceable systems has forced Russian forces to tow launcher units into position with tractors. ATESH warns that this practice makes the equipment extremely vulnerable, effectively turning expensive complexes into easy targets for Ukrainian strikes.

Partisans also reported a severe shortage of spare parts. The movement claims that enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex, operating under heavy load, are producing low-quality components that fail after a short period of use.
“Every air-defense system we identify with coordinates and operating patterns is an opportunity for the Ukrainian Defense Forces to deliver a precision strike. The occupiers’ air-defense system is coming apart at the seams,” the statement said.
Earlier, new satellite imagery revealed that Russia’s MiG-31K and MiG-31I jets armed with Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missiles are operating beyond the reach of Ukrainian air defenses.
According to Army Recognition, Moscow is likely using Il-78 tankers to extend their range and vary flight paths—a tactic analysts say could hinder Patriot systems’ ability to predict and intercept incoming missiles.
