Pentagon Signs Contract With Boeing for Bomb Production for Ukraine
Boeing has been awarded a $6.9 billion contract for the supply of small-diameter bombs and includes deliveries to foreign military customers such as Ukraine, Japan, and Bulgaria.
The work is expected to be completed by December 31, 2035.
Additional companies, such as Apogee Engineering LLC and Joint Research and Development LLC, have also secured similar research and development contracts worth over $33 billion, with partial funding already allocated for 2024 and 2025.
According to the Pentagon's press service, the companies receiving these contracts include American Systems Corp., DCS Corp., Peraton Inc., among others. The work is scheduled to continue through 2027 at multiple locations specified in individual orders.
On September 26, the White House announced a new $375 million military aid package for Ukraine. The package will include bombs, ammunition for HIMARS systems, artillery shells, missiles, anti-tank systems, M1117 armored vehicles, and other military equipment.
