Poland and US to Supply Ukraine With 300 Million Cubic Meters of Natural Gas

The Naftogaz Group has successfully concluded negotiations, securing an agreement with the Polish energy company ORLEN and American partners for the delivery of additional volumes of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Sergiy Koretskyi, Chairman of the Management Board of NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine,” made the announcement via Facebook on November 7.
“The Naftogaz Group has agreed upon new deliveries of American LNG to Ukraine with the Polish company ORLEN and American partners to ensure the stable passage of the heating season. This is another step in the continuation of our strategic cooperation with ORLEN regarding the supply of American LNG to the Ukrainian market,” he wtote.

Koretskyi further confirmed that Naftogaz will receive a credit facility enabling post-payment for the supplied volumes. This financial mechanism is designed to address potential liquidity deficits during the current period. The confirmed import volume covered by this agreement constitutes at least 300 million cubic meters of gas.
The head of Naftogaz added that the essential terms of the agreement were finalized during the recent P-TEC discussions, with delivery planning already underway. The formal contract, including the credit facility (post-payment) and requisite insurance instruments, is scheduled for signing shortly.
Earlier, to sustain its heating and power systems through the winter following severe Russian damage to its energy infrastructure, Ukraine reactivated gas imports via the pipeline network running across the Balkans to Greece.
