The Zaporizhzhia Region Patrol Police have released body camera footage showing the first responders in action after Russia’s January 8 strike on Zaporizhzhia, which claimed 13 lives and left 123 injured, according to the latest reports.

The video was shared by Oleksii Biloshytskyi, First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department. It captures patrol officers applying tourniquets to stop bleeding and bandaging the wounded lying on the ground.

“The patrol officers provided first aid to the injured and assisted citizens in evacuating to safe zones, as the threat of a repeat strike was extremely high. At the same time, the inspectors blocked traffic to ensure people’s safety,” Biloshytskyi wrote.

He added that the police participated in transporting the wounded to hospitals.

The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets commented on the attack, emphasizing that the shelling of civilians is a war crime, and those responsible must be held accountable in international courts.

On January 8, Russian forces launched a strike on an industrial site in Zaporizhzhia, using guided aerial bombs.
