The police reported that Liut fighters are adding rare enemy aircraft to their records. The Russian military recently started using the new "Knyaz Vishchyy Oleh" drone system in the area where the brigade operates. This is a plane-type drone that Russians use for deep reconnaissance missions.

National Police officials stated that the drone operators of the Dnipro-1 Regiment proved once again that the Ukrainian sky is not for the occupiers. They added that the target was found, identified, and destroyed on time.

The "Knyaz Vishchyy Oleh"  is a new Russian development with specific technical details. It can fly at a maximum speed of 130 km/h. The drone reaches a height of 100 m and has a flight range of 45 km.

Russian sources claim the main advantage of this drone is its high survival rate. They adding Ukrainian soldiers often think the drone belongs to their own forces. The aircraft can perform reconnaissance, help correct artillery fire, and watch the results of other drone strikes.

This is not the first time this model has been lost. In January, soldiers from the Pentagon drone unit of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment also destroyed one of these drones and posted a video of the event.

Earlier, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that its forces struck a Russian S-300VM air defense launcher near temporarily occupied Mariupol as part of a series of overnight attacks.

These strikes also targeted drone workshops near Tokmak, communications nodes in the Donetsk region, and military concentrations in Zaporizhzhia during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Additionally, Ukrainian special operations units used drones to damage a storage site for Iskander missiles and a remote piloting point belonging to a Russian drone unit.

Knyaz Veshchiy Oleg: The name is rendered here according to Ukrainian transliteration standards as Knyaz Vishchyy Oleh. In Russian historiography, he is commonly referred to as Knyaz Veshchiy Oleg (Князь Вещий Олег). As he was a prince of Kyiv, the use of the Ukrainian form reflects the historical and geographical context and avoids the Russian-language adaptation of his name.
