Russia Drops Guided Bombs on Ukraine’s Sumy Region, Killing One and Wounding Nine

Russian forces carried out an airstrike on the morning of January 15, dropping two guided aerial bombs (KABs) on a community in Ukraine’s Sumy region, leaving one person dead.

The incident was reported by Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

He said the attack targeted the Bilopillia community. A 35-year-old man who was outdoors at the time of the strike was killed, while nine civilians were wounded, including six women and three men.

“Civilian infrastructure was damaged by the enemy strike. Russian forces are deliberately targeting civilian facilities and critical infrastructure in an attempt to destabilize community life and terrorize the civilian population,” Hryhorov wrote in Telegram.

He added that emergency response and cleanup efforts were underway, with all relevant services operating at the scene.

Earlier, it was reported that Russia launched a missile attack on port facilities in Chornomorsk in the Odesa region, striking a pier at the Chornomorsk port where a civilian ship under the Maltese flag was moored.
