Local media, citing the emergency service, said rescue units and a local fire team were deployed to extinguish the fire and respond to the aftermath, with sappers also involved.

The incident comes as Ukrainian authorities say Russia has intensified strikes on civilian infrastructure and logistics during the winter, including attacks that Ukrainian officials say have damaged energy facilities and left large numbers of residents without power, heat, or water in several regions.

Ukraine has also accused Russian forces of deliberately targeting civilians with drones in southern Kherson, a pattern Ukrainian officials and international observers have described as a human safari.
Earlier, it was reported that Russian forces carried out large-scale missile and drone strikes on Kharkiv, damaging residential buildings, energy infrastructure, and injuring civilians across multiple districts of the city.
