Russian Drone Strike Kills 12-Year-Old in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Family Injured

Russian forces launched a drone strike on Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, killing a 12-year-old girl and injuring several others, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) and Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration on April 29.
The SES reported that an enemy drone struck a residential home in the Samarivskyi district, trapping children under the rubble.
“Local residents managed to pull one child from the debris themselves, but unfortunately, a girl born in 2012 died on the way to the hospital,” rescuers said.
Emergency responders rescued another child, a girl born in 2019, and transferred her to medical personnel. The children’s parents also sustained injuries but declined hospitalization.
Lysak confirmed that the strike partially destroyed a private home and an outbuilding, while another house and a garage were also damaged.
Lysak added that a drone strike sparked a fire at an agricultural enterprise in the Synelnykove district’s Sloviansk community.
Meanwhile, in the Nikopol district, artillery and FPV drones targeted several communities, including Nikopol, Marhanets, and Pokrov.
A 47-year-old woman was wounded in the Nikopol attacks and hospitalized in moderate condition.
The strikes also damaged critical infrastructure, two private homes, an outbuilding, and a power line.
Earlier, Russian airstrikes on the city of Kostiantynivka in Ukraine’s Donetsk region killed four people and injured five others.
