Russian forces carried out a drone strike on civilians moving along a road under a white flag in the village of Kruhliakivka, Kharkiv region, killing two unarmed people and a dog, ArmyInform reported on November 3.

The agency cited the communications unit of the 77th Separate Air Assault Brigade, which released footage showing the targeted attack on civilians.

According to the report, the Russian troops themselves filmed the strike to use it later in propaganda materials, intending to blame the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“There were no military positions or facilities nearby,” the brigade said, noting that the drone attack was part of an orchestrated “false-flag operation.”

The report added that the attack is part of Russia’s ongoing disinformation campaign to hide its violations of international law.

Earlier, it was reported that a Russian soldier opened fire inside an apartment building in the temporarily occupied Kharkiv region, killing three civilians—an intercepted call revealed the soldier “lost control”.
