Russian Drone Strike on Dnipro Kills 3, Injures 30, Including Infant and Children

On April 16, a Russian drone attack on the city of Dnipro caused multiple fires and damage to civilian infrastructure.
According to Serhii Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration (OVA), several residential buildings were affected, and three children were initially reported injured.
“Due to the drone attack, houses, educational and cultural institutions were damaged. Several vehicles were also destroyed,” Lysak said.
Later updates confirmed that a young woman was killed in the strike, and at least seven others were injured, including a 9-month-old girl.
“Doctors provided medical assistance on-site,” Lysak added.
Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov reported that the Russian army may have intended to strike the city council building, but the drone missed its target.
“Yes, they aimed for city hall. But they missed. The strike landed 100 meters away, right next to the Pol monument. Thankfully, he’s strong. They also destroyed my wife’s shop,” Filatov wrote.
Later in the day, Serhii Lysak provided a new update:
“Another woman has died in Dnipro — she was elderly. My condolences to those who lost loved ones today. As of now, 16 people are reported injured. Among them are three children: in addition to the 9-month-old girl, two boys aged 6 and 11. All of them are in stable condition.”
Three young men, aged 16, 18, and 20, were also hospitalized in moderate condition and are receiving medical care.
UPD. As of 7:30 am, Lysak reported that a Russian airstrike on Dnipro killed three people and injured at least 30.
