Officials said that at around 10:00 p.m., an emergency medical team was en route to assist injured civilians in the Dniprovskyi district when it came under attack.

“As a result of the enemy dropping an explosive from a drone, the ambulance vehicle was damaged and the driver was injured,” the administration said.

The driver, a 70-year-old man, suffered blast injuries, a closed head injury, and a concussion, and was taken to hospital in moderate condition.

In a separate incident, Russian drone strikes also targeted civilians in the Kharkiv region.

On December 5, two men were killed in the city of Izium after a Russian drone hit a truck, according to regional police. The men, aged 52 and 67, were unloading firewood from a ZIL truck into a tractor when the attack occurred. The drone struck the vehicle as they stood nearby, killing both men on the spot and sparking a fire.

Previously, a Molniya-type drone operated by Russian forces hit an evacuation vehicle transporting wounded civilians near the outskirts of Pokrovsk in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, leaving one person dead and three others injured.

Police reported that Russian forces attacked the rescue team three times: while they were approaching the city, inside central Pokrovsk, and again during the evacuation.
