At the same time, Ukraine has strongly denounced another deadly Russian attack on civilians, this time targeting a passenger bus in the Dnipro region that was carrying mine workers home from their shifts.

Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that at least 15 people were killed in the strike, stressing that the bus had no military purpose and was deliberately attacked by Russian forces.

“No military target—just hardworking men returning to their families after their shifts. Truly horrific,” Sybiha wrote.

He added that the attack once again underscores Russia’s use of terror against civilians. “Russia once again proves its status of a terrorist state. Russian murderers responsible for this and other atrocities must face justice. Accountability is essential for a just peace,” the foreign minister said.

According to Suspilne, witnesses reported that the bus was struck by Russian Shahed drones in broad daylight. They also said Russian forces launched a second strike after civilians rushed to assist the wounded.

Earlier, Russian troops struck a maternity hospital in Zaporizhzhia, wounding at least six civilians.

The attack took place around noon. In a statement posted on his official Telegram channel, Fedorov said two women were injured while receiving medical examinations inside the facility. By 12:15 p.m. local time, authorities reported that the number of people injured in the strike had risen to six.
