Russian intelligence agencies are preparing fake materials about alleged arms trading between Ukraine and Turkey.

According to the Center for Countering Disinformation (CPD), fake materials are expected to be released through the propaganda channel Russia Today at the end of October, claiming that Ukraine is supposedly engaging in arms trade with Turkey without the knowledge of the United States, in the interests of Turkish private companies.

Russian media channels plan to accuse Ukraine's Minister of Defense of involvement in this alleged trade.

"The fabricated narrative will suggest that planes are being used to transport weapons to Turkey, allegedly delivering arms and military equipment from Turkey to Ukraine. Supposedly, on the return flight to Turkey, they are transporting obsolete, trophy, and other weapons. Through this campaign, Russian intelligence agencies will attempt to discredit Ukraine's military and political leadership and undermine Ukraine's relationships with its allies," CPD warned.

The Center for Countering Disinformation have urged the public to be cautious and verify information before sharing it, as the spread of false narratives can undermine trust and fuel misinformation.
