Certain units of the Russian military have already received payments for successful FPV drone strikes on Ukrainian forces in theHuliaipole direction, according to Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine in an interview with Ukrinform on February 24.

“A monetary reward of 25,000 rubles ($330), has been established. This is for the crew of a strike UAV or FPV drone for each successful strike on enemy personnel, provided there is objective control,” he explained.

Voloshyn also emphasized that an essential condition is video confirmation of the strike from another drone. “In other words, video confirmation of the strike moment from another UAV,” he clarified.

Additionally, Voloshyn confirmed that several Russian military units have already received their payments for February.

“Units of the 5th Russian Army, specifically the 127th Motorized Rifle Division, have already completed the calculation for February. These units were involved in strikes on Ukrainian defenders and units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Upper Tersa and Tsvitkove areas on the Hulyaipil direction. This includes the Russian 127th Motorized Rifle Division of the 5th Army and the 143rd Motorized Rifle Brigade,” Voloshyn noted.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces enhanced the efficiency of their UAV interceptor drones within the air defense system, according to Militarnyi‘s report on citing Yuriy Cherevashenko, Deputy Commander of UAVs for Air Defense in the Ukrainian Air Force.

Cherevashenko revealed that these interceptors are now responsible for 30% of the destruction of airborne targets, meaning that one out of every three aerial threats is neutralized by UAVs. The interceptors are mainly focused on targeting enemy drones of various types.
