Russian forces struck port and industrial infrastructure in Ukraine’s Odesa region overnight, killing one person and injuring two others and prompting emergency power outages in the regional capital, according to Ukrainska Pravda on December 25.
Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said administrative, production and warehouse facilities were damaged, fires broke out at several sites and were extinguished, and the body of the person killed was recovered from under the rubble, while the wounded were receiving medical assistance.

The Odesa City Military Administration said emergency power outages were introduced in Odesa “to prevent overloading of damaged equipment,” adding that the situation in the city “remains under control.”

Ukrainska Pravda reported that repair and restoration work was continuing and that “invincibility centers” were operating in the city.
Earlier, it was reported that Russian ballistic missiles struck Odesa port infrastructure, killing seven people and injuring 15, with extensive damage to facilities and port operations.
